- I own an old A1200 with Microbotics 50Mhz 1230XA accelerator, 3.5 inch
- Quantum Trailblazer Hard Disk (850Mb), and a Power Computing HD floppy.
-
- Last time I used it, the screen blanked and the power light flashed on
- and off. Assuming it was a loose connection, I powered down and checked
- connections - no problems, but now when I power up the hard disk spins up
- and reads a little as normal and the caps lock on the keyboard flashes as
- usual, but the machine doesn`t boot and I'm left with a black screen.
-
- Any ideas on what's wrong, or has anybody had any similar experiences?
- Failing that, can anyone recommend a reliable, *cheap* repair company in
- the UK?
-
-
- I'm probably wrong but it sounds just like the old keyboard fault that
- was so common on the A500. If you know somebody else with an A1200 you
- could try plugging in their keyboard??
