  15. I own an old A1200 with Microbotics 50Mhz 1230XA accelerator, 3.5 inch
  16. Quantum Trailblazer Hard Disk (850Mb), and a Power Computing HD floppy.

  18. Last time I used it, the screen blanked and the power light flashed on
  19. and off.  Assuming it was a loose connection, I powered down and checked
  20. connections - no problems, but now when I power up the hard disk spins up
  21. and reads a little as normal and the caps lock on the keyboard flashes as
  22. usual, but the machine doesn`t boot and I'm left with a black screen.

  24. Any ideas on what's wrong, or has anybody had any similar experiences?
  25. Failing that, can anyone recommend a reliable, *cheap* repair company in
  26. the UK?

  29. I'm probably wrong but it sounds just like the old keyboard fault that 
  30. was so common on the A500.  If you know somebody else with an A1200 you 
  31. could try plugging in their keyboard??
